"Barnoldswick is blessed with having very few major crimes, and we've got an expanding team of community police officers in West Craven, but both Barnoldswick and Earby suffer from criminal damage and nuisance behaviour," said Coun. Margaret Bell.
Other contributions have come from Pendle's Community Safety Partnership (£20,000), Barnoldswick Town Council (£5,000) local developers, and funding from Lancashire County Council's public transport investment.
North West Development Agency also donated £30,000 through the West Craven Together group, together with a further £30,000 towards the Earby scheme.
She went on to add a big thank you to the technical team who put the scheme together, particularly Scott Whalley and Angus Mcleod from Pendle Council and PC Bryan Pepper.
"We asked for people in the community to give up time to help in a number of support roles, including use of the cameras," said Insp. Richard Clare.
The cameras will carry on recording, even if the centre is unmanned and police warn wrongdoers that the footage they provide can be used in evidence against them.
