New Delhi: Delhi Police are installing cameras in major market places for better surveillance in the aftermath of the Oct 29 triple blasts in the national capital.
"Installation of cameras will definitely help the police in tracing robberies and catching thieves. In the wake of the recent blasts, the system would come handy in tracing terrorists, too. At least the post incident analysis would be easier," said M.S. Upadhyaya, additional commissioner of police (traffic).
"It's a welcome development and we appreciate the new security arrangements. For our traders, it would provide better safety and security," said Praveen Khandelwal, secretary general of the Confederation of All India Traders.
